I don’t have anything riveting to give you today. My partner got off work early today, and that has meant a lot of sitting on the couch watching the shamefully interesting Burn Notice and not doing what I meant to do today (finish Bifo’s After the Future, write a little bit about politics and ontology, and talk about Alien Phenomenology). I’m also trying to start a conference paper, but I need Erin Manning’s book on touch to get here. I’ve also been replaying Baldur’s Gate again for the first full playthrough in probably ten years.
With all that, you’re basically caught up on my life short of this: B. Dolan’s House of Bees vol. 2 is dropping/dispersing on June 1st. I think B. Dolan is one of the strongest, smartest voices out there in any genre of music, and you’re doing yourself a disservice if you haven’t heard his previous stuff. Go spend $10 on the new record; I guarantee you it will stay with you longer than that shitty sandwich and soda you spent that same amount on at lunch.
If you can’t be bothered to do that, check out the album release trailer below. Get ready. June 1st.
